Rare Dieter Waeckerlin ‘dw-Wand Serie I’ shelf

Designer Waeckerlin created his own brand, Idealheim, and produced standardised, modular furniture in Basel that could be customised to customer requirements.

The shelving unit, called ‘dw-Wand Serie I’, dates from 1959 and is shown in a diagram on page 90 of the monograph dedicated to it.

Made entirely of teak, it consists of three vertical sections, two units with drop-down doors and six shelves.
