Model 3300, the Rey Chair, produced by Dietiker since 1971, is an iconic piece of Swiss industrial design.
The decisive innovation of this chair lies in the unique aluminium connection system that links the legs to the seat without screws. Incredibly sturdy, after more than 40 years of use in a restaurant, they are still as stable as ever. The surface finish has been slightly restored while retaining its patina.
More than a million copies have been sold to date by Dietiker. Recently distributed by Hay, this has given a new lease of life to this already iconic model.
The tables are the work of a local cabinet maker, custom-made to go with the Rey chairs when the mountain restaurant was fitted out in 1984 in Switzerland.
