Fornasetti is a world-renowned Italian decorative arts studio, founded in Milan in the 1940s by the painter and designer Piero Fornasetti. The brand is famous for its surrealist patterns, brimming with references to art history, which adorn furniture and decorative objects.

In 1991, Fornasetti created two models for Swatch. Here is one of them.

Originally, Maxi Swatch watches were promotional items in the brand’s shops, not intended for sale. At the request of customers, Swatch subsequently began producing a few models from their wristwatch collections in Maxi format, but in small quantities.
