Rare and spectacular pendant lamp made of cellulose acetate (Rhodoïd) and mahogany, attributed to Luminalite or Rotaflex, France, 1950s.

Cellulose acetate is a polymer derived from cellulose, marketed under the name Rhodoïd and used as a versatile material in various applications, including motion picture film, textile fibres and by several lighting manufacturers, notably Atelier de Recherches Plastiques (ARP) Disderot, Airborne, Meubles TV, Huchers Minvielle and Steiner.
