During the 1960s and 1970s, the Italian architect Vittorio Introini (1935-), became famous for his designs produced by Italian companies such as Saporiti ,Cassina and Poltronova. His Superonda chair, designed in 1966, has become one of his most famous creations. This wave-shaped chair became a symbol of 1960s pop culture and has been exhibited in museums around the world, including MoMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Introini has also worked on interior architecture projects and designed commercial spaces for prestigious brands such as Ferrari, Fiat and Alitalia. He has also taught industrial design at the Politecnico di Milano.
